Don Sack > FLAMES This beautiful Straw Flower was shot in our backyard garden. I felt the red leaves looked like external flames surrounding the brightly colored flower. Taken with my Zuiko 50mm-f2 macro lens.
Don Sack > STRAW FLOWER BUD This lovely young Straw Flower was found in our backyard garden. My Zuiko 50mm - f2 macro lens allowed me to take this shot. The flower was no larger than a penny. I am very happy with the ethereal red and green background in soft focus and the leaf at the top of the photo coming back into focus.
Don Sack > Gabriel's "Ent" My four year old Grandson Gabriel saw this photo and screamed "Grandpa saw an ent!" He was very excited since he loves "The Lord of the Rings" and remembers the tree people called "Ents" and the one called "Treebeard". This is a photo of a tree in East Stroudsburg, PA that I was shooting for the texture. When working on it I thought I saw something more and flipped it upside down and this is what was there. I still is interestig for the texture but I love the shape even more. Thank you for the name, Gabriel.
